2.5 Source of Funds Analysis

We are estimating that Spotless Homes will need a total of $27,100 to get up and running. The upfront investment in a house cleaning business is typically not a lot and therefore it is not anticipated that Anthony, Christine and Sofia will need much more than this amount of funding. About 37% of the $27,100 will be contributed to the business by the owners.

  1. Anthony who owns 30% of the business will be contributing $3,000 from this personal savings.
  2. Christine who is the majority shareholder with 40% of the company ownership will be bringing $4,000 to the table
  3. Sofia like Anthony owns the renaming 30% of the business will also be contributing $3,000.

The company will be applying for a term loan in the amount of $17,100 from a local lender. The three owners are fully aware that if this loan is not approved, they will have to contribute additional capital from their individual savings. Anthony, Christine and Sofia have good personal balance sheets and don't anticipate any problems in having to bring additional funding into the business if needed.
