4.7 Target Market Education Profile Analysis

When we analyze the educational profile for folks in the target market of Cobb county and the state of Georgia, the following observations come to light:

  1. 4.1% of the folks in Cobb county have less than a 9th grade education as compared to 5.6% for the state of Georgia.
  2. 5% of the population of Cobb county attended 9th to 12th grade but did not get a diploma - statewide this number is 9.4%.
  3. 29% of folks in Cobb county have achieved a high school diploma, GED or less - statewide the number is 44%.
  4. When it comes to attending some college but not getting a degree we find that in Cobb county 20.6% of the population fall into this bracket as compared with 21.3% in Georgia.
  5. The numbers for folks who achieved a Associates degree is about the same for both Cobb county and the state of Georgia - around 7%.
  6. A whopping 43% of the population of Cobb county has obtained a Bachelors or Graduate degree - statewide this number is only 28%.

What his analysis clearly demonstrates is that folks living in the target market of Cobb county are better educated on balance than folks in the state of Georgia. Higher levels of education have a very high correlation with higher household incomes. Folks with higher incomes are able to afford larger homes and also are in a better place to be able to pay for cleaning services provided by firms like Spotless Homes.

We feel that this excellent education profile bodes well for Anthony, Christine and Sofia as they look to establishing and growing their brand in the coming years.
